TVET Philosophy explores the foundational beliefs, values, and purposes that guide Technical and Vocational Education and Training. The unit examines the philosophical underpinnings of education, the role of TVET in national development, and its alignment with Kenya's Vision 2030 and other policy frameworks. Learners will engage with concepts such as relevance, equity, quality, and lifelong learning in TVET. The course also encourages critical reflection on the historical and social context of vocational training systems, preparing future educators and trainers for informed, ethical, and transformative practice.

This course explores the relationship between education and society, focusing on how social institutions, cultural norms, and societal structures influence educational systems, practices, and outcomes.
